Bart Hajduk is a Polish artist based in London. He graduated in Painting at Camberwell College of Arts (2016) and currently studies on the MA Sculpture programme at the Slade School of Art (2022).
Influenced by the realm of personal mythologies, sexuality, spirituality and cosmology, as well as referencing Polish culture and rural sensibility. In his drawings and paintings Bart creates sensuous dreamscapes populated with human figures, animals, plants, planets and biological forms. In this imagined reality, or reality filtered through the world of imagination and dreams, the self is often decentralised, and boundaries between human and non-human
perceptions become blurred and merge together. Part self-portraits, part mystical landscapes, his works reflect a desire to re-engage oneself with the natural world and the wider universe around us.
Recent exhibitions include; The Drawing Room, Berntson Bhattacharjee, London (2021), London Graduates Now, Saatchi Gallery (2020), Slade x Kristin Hjellegjerde, Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery (2020), Szybki Egipt, Gdańska Galeria Miejska, Gdańsk, Poland (2020).
