Scallasaig Residencies aims to engage the artist with the staggering natural beauty and layered history of the Scottish highlands. Curated by Holly MacDonald, this includes structured support and local insight, fostering deep connection to place, and injecting wilderness into the artist’s studio practice.
Originally a hunting lodge, the house is situated at the bottom of a Glen, a stones throw away from the coast looking over to the Isle of Skye. Littered with historical sites, munros, sea lochs, and volcanic formations, this small residency offers artists an exploration into these hidden lands.
