Catherine Repko b. 1990

Catherine Repko (b.1990) is a painter based in London. She completed a foundation in Art and Design at Chelsea College of Art in 2010 and received her BA in Visual Communication from the University of Brighton in 2013. In 2021 Catherine graduated from the Royal College of Art with a Masters in Painting.

Being the third of four sisters, Catherine's current practice explores this relationship. She is interested in their relationship growing up together and what connects them now as adults. The impact sisterhood has had on her wider relationships outside of family comes into play too. Her work takes an intimate look at family relationships, but also explores contemplations surrounding identity - what it means to be a mother, daughter, woman, or even human. At a time that feels increasingly polarised, both socially and politically, Catherine’s work is looking at what ties us together.
