Willowfuck is a collaborative practice between Motoko Ishibashi and Robin von Einsiedel. Both artists studied Painting at the Royal College of Art, graduating in 2014 and 2015 respectively. They currently live and work between London and Berlin.
Willowfuck is a multi-disciplinary artistic persona through which Ishibashi explores ceramic and sculptural forms in collaboration with von Einsiedel. Their practice blends virtual aesthetics with tangible media, pushing the boundaries of traditional sculpture. At the core of their work is an evolving interest in anonymity, authorship, and artistic freedom. The name "Willowfuck" itself derives from a sex spam email address, underscoring the artists’ subversive engagement with digital culture and identity.
The duo’s sculptural works embody a tension between physicality and fantasy, often incorporating surreal forms and textures that reflect an experimental material language. Their work confronts the absurd, the grotesque, and the intimate, creating a layered narrative that plays with desire, perception, and digital mythologies.
