Anna Tedestam (1991) is based in Stockholm and received her MFA from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in 2019.
Anna’s largely abstract practice takes its shape in painting and sculpture. The materiality is important to her, particularly when working with clay, finding the balance between strength and fragility in the medium. Anna’s work is reminiscent of Outsider Art with its dreamlike and mystical sentiments. The act of creating itself is as important as the piece.
She is represented by POM Gallery in Stockholm and her work has been exhibited at many institutions in Sweden including Rånäs Castle in 2019. During Stockholm Craft Week in 2019, Anna was honoured as Artist in Office.
